Sour Gas, Hydrogen Sulfide ( H2S ) as well as ammine inhibitors used to mitigate corrosion have
been successfully sealed using 7182 brand Aflas since 1980.
|

Seals Eastern's 7182 brand formulated Aflas provides
outstanding resistance to sour gas, as well as high
concentrations of hydrogen sulfide, also known as H2S, a
deadly poisonous gas found during oil and gas production.
Whereas most rubber seals will experience excessive
hardening and subsequent failure in low concentrations (ppm)
of hydrogen sulfide, 7182 brand Aflas exhibits outstanding
resistance to concentrations of in excess of 60%. The
following data compiled by MERL Ltd
, a third party testing lab,
illustrates the robustness of 7182 brand Aflas in high
concentrations of H2S, even at
elevated temperatures (200°C). Seals Eastern's 7182 brand Aflas is likewise
resistant to amine corrosion inhibitors typically used to
mitigate corrosion attributable to hydrogen sulfide.
